Lancaster vintage china hire, vintage props and vintage venue styling for 2013

A great start to the new year!

Here at Itsy bitsy Vintage, and following one half's success in completing a four year long phd (well done Carole!), we have been enjoying a busy and varied start to the new year with a range of different events and celebrations. From a baby shower in January, a Mother's Day Vintage weekend at the Nice Bar and Restaurant at the Storey Institute in Lancaster, our first village hall wedding of the year at Morecambe Memorial Hall, to our first event with the Vintage Co-operative at Lancaster Town Hall we've enjoyed every moment. It's been fun to work so many new venues in our home district, we're really spoilt for choice in Lancaster and Morecambe with so many great hotels, restaurants, village halls and public buildings to suit every budget.

We're also highly delighted to see our styling for the beautiful vintage wedding of Cath & Russell last September at the Midland Hotel in Morecambe,  now featured in this charming promotional video from the Hotels' weddings page! It features Carole and I setting up the room and all the pretty details. We loved working with this creative couple and their vision for a pretty seaside/ art deco vintage inspired wedding.

Our new props packages too have proven themselves to be very popular with brides & grooms wishing to have vintage guest tables, and we have had several orders for these over the past few months. The gorgeous photos of a styled guest table at Steve and Elka's wedding last year at the Midland Hotel, featured in our previous winter styling post, perhaps prompted some of you to place your orders. Simple to DIY but so very pretty!

Once again we've enjoyed working with our partners, Jonathan Bean Photography and Katherine of Bevington's Catering who ideally compliment our vintage services.

Far from slowing down, we're stepping into Spring with preparations for a forthcoming 60th birthday tea party at the Friends Meeting House, a vintage wedding at Lancaster Town Hall and a large styled prohibition themed wedding at the Midland Hotel in May. We can't wait to be back at the Midland and to work alongside the great staff team.

Vintage remains so very on trend for 2013, with influences coming from the summer film release of the Great Gatsby. What's not to love about the 1920's? Preppy suits, bow ties, whimsical dresses, outdoor picnics, parasols, brogues and lazy hazy days! With our styling services and prop hires, we can take the stress out of your day whatever your theme. We look forward to spreading a little bit of vintage gold dust into all your celebrations.
